Douglas Fairbanks (no, not the Douglas Fairbanks, it should be noted) is an enigmatic individual. If there are two things he enjoys above all, they are being different and telling a good story. Perhaps he gets it from having been conceived on an oil platform off the coast of South America to a Belizean mother and an American expatriate father, a claim that serves these purposes splendidly, despite his unwillingness to corroborate it. Regardless, he is an unnervingly talented individual, in the sense that he is at his best when he is getting things done for others, so long as they don't ask how he does what he does. That would "spoil the magic," as he is wont to say, and might also lead to indictments, which he is often quick to add.
Ever cool and collected—sometimes to disturbing levels—Douglas serves Darkwater Media Group as an associate editor working closely with Ramiro Perez de Pereda. He writes horror and bizarro fiction.
Within Darkwater Media Group, he is known as "the trigger-man" because, aside from his track record of getting things done, there is also his stated reason of: "it just sounds cool, and that counts for a lot."
